Astronomers Suggest Sun-Like Star May Have Consumed Its Own Planet

A team of astronomers from the University of Michigan, led by Brooke Kotten, has made a significant discovery regarding the star TOI-5882.

This sun-like star, situated approximately 1,300 light-years from Earth, exhibits a remarkable spike in lithium levels.

The research suggests that this spike may be indicative of the star having consumed one of its own planets, although further investigation is needed to confirm this hypothesis.
